This is a clamp that works similarly to the Hakko Omnivice.

Assembly instruction:

  1. Print all four parts.
When printing the base, add a pause before the hole in the center gets covered. Insert a long threaded spacer (M5 x 20 mm) with internal threads and a HEX key size of 8mm.
  2. Fill the base with something heavy (plaster, screws, sand, epoxy, …).
  3. Glue the lid on the base.
  4. Take the washer part and on one side glue some non slip rubber on (e.g. ESD matt, …).
  5. Take the washer and clamp part and put a M5x40mm screw through both parts. Secure the clamp part tightly with a M5 hex nut. Put the nut into the hex shaped recess in the clamp part. The non slip surface of the washer has to point outwards! Thread a thin M5 nut on the screw until there is a gap of 2-3mm between the washer and the clamp part. Secure the nut with a drop of threadlocker.
  6. Screw the clamping assembly into the base.
