Introduction

This is an adapter for these spiral-y caps from AliExpress to fit onto the microswitch in a Sanwa OBSF 30mm arcade button.  I am unsure how consistent they are across brands, but I assume they all use the same injection mold.  Printed in TPU, they are as quiet (if not more) than my official Silent OBSF V2s, without the gummy/grippy feeling!

In terms of compatibility, the stem in the cap should be 5.6mm in diameter and 5mm in height. I believe the adapter should work in the Sanwa screw-in buttons, since they use the same SW-68 switch, but I do not have any to test with.

These are different from the original model because TPU is a flexible filament, so I handled the tolerances differently.

Future Changes

  • May add models with different heights/tolerances

Printing Suggestions

  • 4 Walls / 50% Aligned Rectilinear Infill / No Supports
  • Print in TPU (mine is 95A)
  • Print with the hole facing the build plate
  • DO NOT recommend enabling polyholes in Orca Slicer

Assembly

Simply plug the 25.3mm cap into the top of the adapter.  It should fit snugly.  Keep in mind that there are tabs on the side to guide the cap to seat properly.  If you do not follow the guides, it will protrude far above the rim of the Sanwa button enclosure.

Swap it with the existing plunger in your Sanwa OBSF and you should be good to go!

Happy Printing!
