Apple Keyboard Tray

I designed this Keyboard tray for the Apple Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad. It includes a panel to add “F” key labels for Fusion 360 Shortcuts. The labels are standard “Brother Labeler 12mm TZ Tape” labels or you can use paper strips. They slip into notches so you don't need adhesive.

The two parts join together with a dovetail and then lock in place with the apple logo.

Printing:

-0.2mm layer with 20% infill

-Apple logo parts are ironed

-I used Meltink silver PLA filament

-Support everywhere is used at the dovetails

Finishing:

-Rubber feet are made from sheet rubber. I cut them 5/16" x 1" and used thin double side tape, (SookWang, link above) available from art suppliers. If you don't have sheet rubber you can cut up a bicycle tube.

-Everything can be glued together if you like but I find it holds together well enough without glue.

-If you don't plan to take it apart and don't want to glue it then add a piece of tape at the back of the panel and some thin double side tape for the apple logo. That will hold it together nicely.

-To use F13 to F19 keys for shortcuts I use, "Karibiner-Elements". For example, to map F16 key to dimension… go to Simple modifications, add item, from key “F16, to key ”d".

-Added stop to prevent dovetail from sliding in too far

-Added circle stop that can be glued in if you missed this update

-Added 0.2mm thick shims if yours comes out a bit loose
