Say goodbye to damp gloves and cold, wet socks! The VentMate transforms your home’s heating vents into an efficient drying station, using warm air to help dry gloves, socks, and even shoes more quickly. Simply place it over a compatible vent, and let the heat do the work—no extra effort required!

Designed to fit at least two common vent types (as shown in the gallery), the VentMate provides a stable platform for your gear. Need more drying space? Included extension tabs allow you to connect two units together, creating a double-wide drying plate for added capacity. For best stability, gluing the two pieces together is recommended when using the extended setup.

While optimized for gloves and socks, shoes can also be balanced on top, making it a versatile drying solution for winter gear.

Printed here in ASA for durability, the VentMate is a simple, effective way to keep your winter essentials warm, dry, and ready to go. Stay comfortable, no matter the weather!

Printing Recommendations:

  • Best Materials: ASA/ABS or PETG for heat resistance. Avoid PLA: It may warp under prolonged heat exposure.
  •
  • Settings : Printed at 0.2 layer height, i have an included Bambu Slicer profile for ASA that also should work well for PETG.  Especially for ABS/ASA: a brim and glue for the large plate is important to prevent warping.  Make sure you've got solid adhesion.

Assembly :

  • Simply slot the towers into the plate underside, then put the hex rods through to keep the thing to be dried off the bottom of the plate (improves airflow).
  • If assembling a second plate with tabs: the tabs in the STEP/3MF file may need to be scaled up in X/Y depending on your filament shrinkage.  For the ASA I used, I found 102% to be the magic number.  My Bambu Slicer profile includes a set of tabs at 101.5% and 102%.
    • The 102% size, for me, press-fit in place, but this is still a relatively weak connection long term.  I strongly recommend gluing the tabs in place with a little superglue to make the bigger plate.
