My Panasonic NN-ST46KB microwave instructions say it should be at least 10 cm from the wall behind it, for sufficient airflow.  But it’s so light that it slides backwards when I press the door-release button.

A pair of these spacers slot into the back of the microwave and maintain the gap.

The spacers are mounted with the semicircles pointing down.  (In theory, pointing up would better prevent the spacers from drooping – but mine haven’t yet after a year; and since as well as swapping the lugs [they’re slightly different heights] you’d have to move them from the bottom to the top of their backplate in Tinkercad, you’d probably need supports to print them.)

Print settings

Line width: 0.6 mm (my nozzle is 0.4 mm)

Print solid: e.g. set Top/bottom thickness to at least 0.6 mm.

Post-printing

Depending on your printer’s tolerances, the lugs might need some attention in order to fit into the back of the microwave – or you can fine-tune them for your printer in Tinkercad.

How I designed this

In Tinkercad.  Edit it online.
