This is a filament cleaner with a print-in-place hinge and a non-breakable clip.

After printing, insert the clip into the larger hole on one half of the filament cleaning device (the triangles on the clip are to face in the same direction as the triangles on the body), fill the device with sponge and it is ready for use.
The third gif is the assembly instructions.

I added clips to the housing models with three sizes of joint thickness:
FilamentCleaner_clip_1 - the smallest thickness (one triangle).
FilamentCleaner_clip_2 - medium thickness (two triangles).
FilamentCleaner_clip_3 - the largest thickness (three triangles).
Select the clip to match your printed cleaner. (Let us know in the comments which size clip fits your cleaner).

You can print from whatever you want - but it will look best with PLA.

My filament cleaner - it already has over 2,400 downloads.
I was wondering if there was anything else that could be improved ....

I re-modeled the body (slightly improving the model for FDM printing), kept the same dimensions as my previous cleaner. I improved the design of the hinges - now versions with different clearance on the hinges are not needed. I redesigned the closure method - adding a reinforced clip (non-breakable). 

How is it different from other projects of this type?
1. It has a hinge print in place - you don't need to plug and weld anything.
2. It has a reinforced (not breakable) clip - so that the cleaner will serve longer.
3. By the way, it is a nice test for calibrating the flow in your printer:
- if the hinge is not too loose or too tight - you have a great flow calibration, 
- if the hinge is very tight, the flow is a bit too high,
- if the hinge is too loose well now is the best time to calibrate the flow, after flow calibration - print the cleaner again.
