My wife had bought a chrome corner shelf unit for the bathroom. The chrome rails were quite spaced out so you couldn't place small items on them.
I thought some sort of grille would work but rather than CAD modelling it, I cheated with the slicer. I designed the grille as a solid piece in CAD and then sliced it with no top or bottom layers and used a 10% grid. In a few minutes I had the first grille and a happy wife.
I made the grilles in PLA as they are so easy and quick to make I'll just replace them if they fail. They've been working fine for 6 months so far.
Probably not much use as a model, but hopefully a useful tip if you've not used it before.
Printed in PLA, 10% grid infill, NO horizontal top or bottom layers, 2 perimeters - but if you use the same technique - adjust to suit your application.
