Disclaimer:
These parts have been optimized for my specific printer, a full CNC gantry setup. Due to variations in printer assembly, you may need to make adjustments to ensure proper fitting. Do not copy and paste the attached macro files without modification—adjust them to suit your setup. Additionally, ensure that your printer is fully calibrated before printing any parts.
I am excited to share my unique Nozzle Wiper, designed specifically for the VZ235 AWD CNC printer! This project was inspired by the challenges of Cartographer3D nozzle probing and eliminates the need for manual nozzle cleaning before each print. My solution is an automatic nozzle wiper!
This design is powered by a NEMA 17 pancake stepper motor, replacing micro-servos, which tend to fail in heated environments. The NEMA 17 motor provides greater durability and resistance to high temperatures, ensuring consistent performance. To implement this system, you will need:
● An available slot on your motherboard for an additional TMC2209 driver
● A free slot for an extra endstop
● A few configuration lines in Klipper
The silicone nozzle wiper, sourced from the K1/K1C printer, is press-fit into the arm—no adhesive required—making it easy to remove and replace. The position of the nozzle wiper is adjustable both vertically and horizontally to accommodate various setups.
