I bought a cheap complete set of a press for heat inserts from Aliexpress (https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005006618127617.html).

Now I had the problem I didn't knew where the tip will finally be, then I also wanted a solid base. There for I created the solid base, where I added a small line where the tip finally end up, so I only need to check one direction to align the part and the tip. Like the original, I wanted to mount it to the 2040 extrusion.

The base is 170 mm long and 166.2 mm wide. I printed it in PETG, so it won't melt as fast if you do a mistake while pressing in a heat insert on a uneven target.

I also added a mount for the different tips, to have them at the same place. As the tips have a M4 thread, they will be screwed on to the mount securely. The mount will be mounted with a M4 T-slot and a M4 x 8mm screw (I only had M4 x 10mm so I added a nut to compensate, which touches the M8 tip, not ideal, but as I mostly will use M4 and M3 not a problem for me).
