Adherable Camelot Wheel Plate for DJ Controllers

Every DJ knows the painful sound of two songs melodically clashing even though they are lined up perfectly.

The Camelot Wheel, created by Mark Davis in 1991, simplifies "Harmonic Mixing" by visualizing key compatibility. This design is tailored for the Hercules DJControl Mix but can be adapted for other controllers.

Keep in mind that many controllers have touch activated jog wheels, so you may lose scratch functionality when not in vinyl mode. The DJControl Mix will not have this issue, though.

Recommended Printing Settings

• Filament: Stick to only one type so the text sticks.
• Nozzle: 0.4mm nozzle is sufficient, but smaller nozzles improve text readability.
• Layer Height: 0.2mm is recommended, or any multiple of it (0.1, 0.05, etc.)
• Line Width: Keep it as low as possible without forcing your nozzle (e.g., 0.42mm for a 0.4mm nozzle).
• Wall Order: Outer/inner wall order is recommended but not crucial.

Everything else is up to you.

Multicolor Printing
Multicolor printing (as shown in the pictures) is optional. If there's enough interest, I'll share my Bambu Lab 3MF print files here and/or on MakerWorld.

Application and Removal

• Adhesive: Non-residue double-sided tape is ideal, just be careful with whatever you choose.
• Preparation: Wipe jog wheels and back of disk with isopropyl alcohol before applying.
• Removal: Carefully remove and use isopropyl alcohol for residue.

Regarding the Key

If you choose to download the key-including one, terms are abbreviated for space.

M = Major

m = minor

# = sharp

b = flat
