1/4''-20 / Camera Thread Modular Mounting System Adapter

This small adapter allows for mounting anything with a ¼''-20 Thread (also known as camera thread) with the modular mounting system (GoPro-compatible). It uses a threaded insert for the camera thread to ensure high strength and durability, even if repeatedly loosened and re-tightened. It gives full access to the screw, allowing for any length and use of a normal screwdriver.

Requires one threaded insert designed for a hole diameter of 7.9mm or 8.0mm. The normal CNCKitchen Camera Thread Inserts should fit, although I used a different brand that gives the same measurements. If your camera only has a threaded hole and no included screw, you may also need a ¼''-20 screw. The length will depend on your camera and should roughly be 13mm + the depth of the hole on the camera.

The model has been designed to be printed without supports and as it is oriented in the model files (with the two prongs on the surface and the big hole horizontally above them). This way, you will get the best strength, fastest print time and least wasted filament.

Let me know if anybody is interested in a version designed for use without a threaded insert. This model could also be used as-is without a threaded insert, but may not be quite as stable depending on the the grippiness of the bottom surface of the camera.
