3D Model for Lenovo M710q Tiny PC

This custom 3D-printed HDD mount enables seamless integration of a 3.5" hard drive into the compact Lenovo M710q Tiny PC, leveraging internal SATA and 12V power for a clean, functional upgrade. The design features a lightweight honeycomb structure for durability and airflow optimization.

Here is the Project on Github: https://github.com/Andurilll/M710q-Tiny-3.5-HDD-mod

Key Features

- Honeycomb Pattern: Reduces weight while maintaining structural integrity and improving HDD ventilation.
- Compatibility: Tailored for the Lenovo M710q Tiny chassis, supporting standard 3.5" HDDs.
- Integrated Power Solution: Utilizes the motherboard’s internal 12V SATA power via modified cabling.

Print Settings (FDM Recommendations)

- Layer Height: 0.2 mm (Standard Quality)
- Infill: 20–30% Gyroid or Grid for balance between strength and material efficiency
- Material: PLA, PETG, or ASA (for higher heat resistance in enclosed spaces)
- Nozzle Temperature: 200–220°C (PLA)
- Print Speed: 50–80 mm/s for optimal detail retention

Applications

- Expands storage capacity for home servers, NAS setups, or media centers.

Note: Requires minor SATA power cable modification to tap into the motherboard’s 12V rail. Ensure proper insulation for safety.
