Remark: I reuploaded this design.
I claim no rights to this wonderful model. Just wanted to share it with you as best I can.
Tipp: This little project is a hit for (children's) birthday parties too.
Each child/guest can style their own and will have a blast!
Here's a brief description of the postprocessing-steps to make the lion look really lifelike.
Step 1: Print this model at any scale you like (several STL's to choose from).
Step 2: Remove the sacrificial wall which connects to the hairs with sharp scissors (please don't use a knife, it will rip off the hairs) as close to the wall as possible. You may want to cut and remove parts of the wall step by step.
Step 3: Use a hot air hairdryer or heatgun to soften and dress the hairs. Done!
IXPatch's tipp (see comments): “If you're struggling with styling the mane: try dunking the lion into hot water upside-down, pull it back out, wait a moment (so you don't burn yourself), then just press the hair down.”
Hope you enjoy printing and styling this gorgeous model.
Happy printing!
