do you have a hard time setting still? do you always need to play with something? I know I do.
I designed this fidget toy that hold my work badge, since my work badge goes with me anyway at work its always with me.
(this is my tag with my team's name on it)
it has a gear ratio of 1:12
I used 0.4 nozzle and printed it with PETG (I don't recommend printing it in anther material since most materials are not tough enough).
printing orientation:
the badge body is the hardest to print since it has a lot of low overhangs. I recemend to print it flat on the build plate since it will create a smother top surface wich will help the gears to run faster and longer.
for supports I used normal supports only on build plate since overhangs are close to the build plate organic supports have a hard time, furthermore organic supports will expand and be much harder to remove.
the named gear also needs supports and I recommend the same settings as above.
The other parts don't need supports jest make sure you print tow of the closing plugs.
build instructions:
this is how all the parts go tegether
the closing plugs are a tight fit but I used soldering iron to melt the smaller diametor prt together with the badge body.
