Description

This 3D-printed model is designed specifically for live bed leveling and first layer calibration. Its open layout ensures maximum visibility of all corners and edges of the print bed during printing, allowing you to monitor the first layer in real time and make live adjustments to the bed or Z-offset as needed.

Unlike other test prints, this model leaves the center open and spreads across all key areas of the build plate. This makes it ideal for achieving a perfect first layer and identifying uneven spots on the fly—no need to stop the print or run separate tests for each area.

Two versions of the model are included: one with all lines connected, which uses slightly more material but allows you to remove the entire print in one piece from the bed. The second version has unconnected lines, making it faster to print and just as effective for calibration, while covering all key areas of the build plate.

 

Instruction

  1. 3D Printing the Model
  2. Live Adjustment During Print:
    As the printer begins the first layer, observe the extrusion in all zones—front, back, left, right, and center. Adjust the Z-offset live to ensure consistent line width and adhesion across the entire bed.
  3.  Repeat if Needed:
    After one pass, you can reprint to confirm improvements or fine-tune further. You can also measure the thikness of the first level with a caliber
