Standard block from ERCF v2 (aka Triple Decky C7) with a sensor.

Requires a 4mm ball bearing and a D2F-01FL endstop switch, exactly the same as in https://www.printables.com/model/651002-k1-extruder-filament-runout-sensor . If you purchased a kit with pre-soldered endstops with no swing levers, you don't have to solder new endstops - it is much easier to simply move swing levers from new endstops to the ones you have.

Despite the similarity to https://github.com/juliusjj25/ERCF-Pregate-Sensors, my design is NOT based on that, main difference being the filament switch used. However, the latches might be interchangeable :D

UPD: Initiql testing shows that the filament channel, despite being 2.4mm wide, requires calibration with a 2mm drill bit before installation.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

  • Added a pocket for filament switch in place of the original ECAS fitting
  • Filament Base was trimmed around the latch, to allow the switch to fit as close to the filament block's body as possible - i.e., as close to the gears as possible
  • Tag plate from the base moved to the top of the filament channel, it sits right on top of the switch now
  • Standard latch interferes with the new position of the fitting - had to cut off the protrusion
  • ECAS fitting didn't have anything to grip onto in the standard model - added tiny nubs in the pocket so the sharp flange on the fitting can now bite into them; they will be scraped off on their own if your fitting happens to have different tolerances
