With all that said, now on to the models…

Update for January 2023!  Modified frame model to fit the new Heltec v3 board (still fits the previous v2.1 board as well).

This is a case for the Heltec LoRa 32 boards, designed with the Meshtastic project in mind (https://meshtastic.org).

There are seven files required for a complete case, as well as socket head cap screws and a micro push button switch; refer to the parts list below.

Update (Feb 3, 2022):
  • Modified USB port hole to accommodate both standard micro USB and round magnetic tip USB cables
  • Added case pattern models for front and back covers

WARNING:

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR WIFI/BLUETOOTH ANTENNA WILL NOT BREAK OFF WHEN PUTTING ON THE FRONT CASE/SCREEN INSERT PARTS. The tiny, coiled copper antenna on the Heltec LoRa 32 board can easily break off if not CAREFULLY bent to the side before putting on the case front. The screen insert should have enough room to accommodate the tiny antenna but manufacturing variances may affect antenna placement, size, angle, etc.

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BROKEN ANTENNAS OR OLED SCREENS; USE THIS CASE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

That said, the case fits well and looks very nice.

Required hardware:

  1. Four (4) M3x20mm socket head cap screws
  2. Four (4) M3 nuts
  3. One (1) latching (not momentary) micro push button switch:

  4. Battery: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B08T6GT7DV

Minimum required model files:

  1. Heltec_LoRa32_v7_Back
  2. Heltec_LoRa32_v7_Button-plate
  3. Heltec_LoRa32_v7_Button-PRG
  4. Heltec_LoRa32_v7_Button-RST
  5. Heltec_LoRa32_v7_Frame
  6. Heltec_LoRa32_v7_Front (multiple choices, see below)
  7. Heltec_LoRa32_v7_Screen-insert

There are multiple versions of the Heltec_LoRa32_v7_Front model, including a no-screen version (if you accidentally broke then removed your OLED screen, like I did) and a blank_no-screen version to add your own branding, design, labels, etc.

There are multiple versions of the radio stand, with and without logos:

  1. Standalone desktop version of the stand to support a single radio
  2. Wall-mountable horizontal version
  3. Wall-mountable vertical version
  4. Modular desktop version to create an expandable, interlocking bank of multiple radio stands

I've also included a reference model of the Heltec LoRa 32 board if anyone needs it for remixes or your own case designs. There is no need to print this model.
