Uses an Ikea bell cloche (Morgontidig), to stack on a Drakfrukt or 4 ¾ Forenlig plant pot. It's great for keeping the cats away when growing catnip indoors.
Ikea made 2 cloche sizes, this print uses the larger of the two. Both sizes have been discontinued. Looking closely at the cloche, it's not completely symmetrical, it's almost an imperceptible oval. I think the manufacturing tolerances were pretty loose to begin with. Since the groove the cloche sits in is wider to accommodate the loose tolerances, you may notice the asymmetry when viewed from above.
This was initially designed for the red ceramic Drakfrukt plant pot. (The Ikea site says 4 ¾" diameter, but it's closer to 5 ¾"). Like the cloches, the tolerances on these pots are sloppy, up to 5mm variance in diameter. Accordingly, the fit will not be tight all the way around.
Surprisingly, this also fits the 4 ¾ Forenlig pot as well. These are manufactured with much better tolerances, and you can add holes on the bottom for drainage.
I've included the f3d file if you want to adjust for other pot sizes or tolerances.
UPDATE: After a few uses, you may find mold/mildew growth on the connecter ring. Realistically, this is an over complicated solution to a minor problem. I recommend getting a hanging planter that the cats cant reach and growing your catnip there.
The author remixed this model.
Adapted for the Drakfrukt flower pot, which has a larger diameter than the original Gradvis pot this remix is based on.
