As filtration system for core one is still not ready, and even pla smell is not great in an apartment, I created “backpack” attachment for core one. It utilises (quite plenty of) nevermore style carbon pellets and existing chamber fans to reduce smell and fumes that might come from printing.
It comes with two possible ways of fixture. One is four m3 screws (m3x6 is enough, but can be longer) or, if you want to be able to detach it easily, two screws to fix it from sliding during vibration and 6 6x3 magnets.
The model was tested with pla and should work fine also with petg or asa. If you want to be fancy and print with carbon fillet filament like me, you might need to sligthly shave of few tens of millimeters from side latches, as material is much stiffer.
Pellets should ideally reach “fin” of the cover, as it is meant to divert air from escaping through top too fast.
Model is designed to print with no supports using 0.4mm nozzle. It is not mechanical stressed part, so infill doesn't play big role, 15% is plenty.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
