Beginner friendly project for those who have an Ender 3 v3 se. its a great printer but i needed a solution to store nozzles and the spanners separately as they don't get used as much. i wanted a project that didn't use hinges and magnets are fun! how do they work? no one knows but they are satisfying and a joy to imbed in prints. With a customisable lid insert

Magnets used 6mmX3 (found on aliexpress_link)

Printed in PLA (TPU Nozzle tray optional)

3x walls

3x Top and Bottom

15% Honeycomb Infill

                                                       WARNING BEFORE USING MAGNETS

IF YOU ARE USING A HARDNED STEEL NOZZLE TO PRINT. BE AWARE MAGNETS WILL ATTEMPT TO STICK TO THE PRINT NOZZLE

Don't say i didn't warn you!

Use some super glue or a wooden toothpick to make sure it stays in the hole.

The print comes in a few parts,

The Main Body

The Nozzle Holder (that has 2 different designs)

The Lid

The Lid Insert that denote the corresponding nozzles

The Tray that fits perfectly and snug the 2 spanners that came with the printer

Main Body

Print with the top on the Bed and Paint Supports as shown for best looking results

In your slicer before exporting g code, put a Pause on the print at layer 32

This is done by scrolling down the layer, right clicking and click add pause.

Place 2 North pole on one side and 2 south pole on the other side. This is so when the lid is placed on it can only close one direction

There is an option magnet hole, if you have strong magnets you can add an additional pause on layer 112

This magnet is attracted to the spanners in the tray helping to lock them in but this step is not needed

magnetic pole orientation doesn't matter here

Nozzle Holder

1st design is a simple Press fit nozzle holder. print out of what ever flavour plastic you enjoy

Print top on bed for best results

2nd design is a soft TPU nozzle holder. print out of TPU, its fun

Print top on bed for best results

The Lid

Print with the top on the bed for best looking results

In your slicer before exporting g code, put a Pause on the print at layer 47

This is done by scrolling down the layer, right clicking and click add pause.

Place 2 North pole on one side and 2 south pole on the other side. This is so when the lid is placed on it can only close one direction

The Lid Insert

Get creative, print in different colours. As we are aware our Ender 3 v3 SE does not come with Multi extruders so lets use the same technique. Pause at Layer 16 yoink out the filament and bosh in a new colour of your choosing.

The Tray

Print the bottom on the bed for best looking results

You can print all these on the one bed just make sure you put the pauses in all the right spots

All parts are press fit together.

Make sure you test fit nozzles into the Nozzle Holder before you press the Nozzle Holder into the Main Body

I will provide Step and Fusion Files so those who use other nozzles can adjust the Nozzle diametre Parametres. just go to change parametres, adjust “nozzle diametre”

press the 𝆑x tab (may be located in “modify”) change expression to your new value

Any Questions I am Happy to help.

Feedback is appreciated

If you print this, please post a make, I would love to see how they come out on your printer and what colour combo you choose.

This was my first fusion 360 project and I'm pretty chuffed with it.
