Mimic Treasure Chest (DND / TTRPG)

I could have sculpted the chest bottom out a bit more for more teeth and then added eyes for the mimic but I'm happy with it for now. These things are lot of fun so I don't think it'll be the last one that I make.

Remixed from a model made with AI (does that still count as AI?)

I split the model top, bottom and took out the latch/skull then sculpted the gums, tongue and then popped in teeth. Lots of remeshing and re-sizing to make the hidden mode and awake mode more prominent.

I printed it out at 32mm tall when opened and it seemed a bit too big (basically the full 25mm baseplate or 5ft square) so I made a 25mm tall version which is a bit better I think - both medium on the 25mm baseplate.

I didn't include a baseplate for the hidden mode because it's a dead giveaway that something is up (otherwise you need to put everything on baseplates and that seems like overkill.
