Prusa Core One rear fan air guide

My Prusa Core One is on a shelf in front of a window. I want to avoid warm air being blown on the window from the printer. Even if there's a curtain in the way.

This air guide was made to blow air up or down depending on how you want to mount it. I prefer to keep it up as the electronics are down.

Printing Notes

WARNING: THIS IS A CHALLENGING PRINT

I printed at 0.2mm layer height but had multiple warping issues with PETG until I laid down a bed adhesive. You may need to use a brim or mouse ears to prevent the warp.

When printing in PETG you may notice that the 2 wall thick sections bulge out due to warp. This should not affect functionality much. Be sure to use a quality profile. A speed profile might make the PETG brittle and cause it to crack rather than bend. Here's a picture to show what I mean by bulging. The wall should be straight.

Here's a test print in PLA:

I wouldn't recommend PLA long term but this does work in a pinch.

Equipment required:

  • Four M3x10mm button head or cap screws. M3x12mm will work as well but the screws will stick out into the chamber

Final notes

I included a STEP file of the print. So it can be modified easily.

The design file and STL are released as CC0.
