Inspired by Erhil's design for the 14.4v Makita Power pack I decided to make an 18v (PA18) version. Replaces the crappy NiCad batteries.
This was designed to fit non-protected Li-ion (2600Mah) batteries in 5S2P (18.5v 5200mah) formation, I've found old laptop batteries to be a good source of these.
The Battery holders can be bought very cheaply from Banggood or you're if desperate you can print the included 5x2 one. STL model for a 18650 reference cell included in the files also.
I would whole heartily recommend getting a BMS circuit with under/over charge (and thermal cutout), I use this 5s 100a one
If you've got any dead PA-18 NiCad packs, I'd suggest using the top part of the battery pack and the clips to reuse it in this design (save a few few hours printing).
!!!DO NOT CHARGE WITH STOCK CHARGER, always charge using a charger with Li-ion charge modes!!!
