I couldn't find a fuzzy skin sampler that showcased how different settings affect various surface features, so I designed my own. My goal was to create a sampler that allows for quick prints of selected settings while using minimal filament.

This model requires approximately 2g of filament per sample and includes a variety of surface features—chamfers, fillets, holes, and sharp edges—to evaluate how fuzzy skin applies across different geometries.

I have pre-sliced 51 different fuzzy skin settings, covering:

  • Fuzzy distance: 0.1mm to 1.0mm (in 0.1mm increments)
  • Fuzzy thickness: 0.1mm to 0.5mm
  • One control model with no fuzzy skin applied

The first profile includes all 51 samples, while the next profile are grouped by fuzzy thickness. Each model also has its fuzzy settings embossed on the base for reference. The first profile cannot be printed on mini printers, but the second profile can be printed.

Additionally, I have made custom boxes for the samples that can hold 10 to 50 pieces. The lid is partially exposed so you can keep the samples neatly and quickly peek to see it!

If you have suggestions for additional features, I'm happy to improve the model and slice more fuzzy settings. Happy printing!
