PRUSA XL Magnetic Purge Trays (Harbor Freight Magnets)

This is a magnetically attached purge tray for the Prusa XL. It sticks to the bottom of an attached print sheet.

The remix simply changes out the size of the magnets. For those living in the USA, purchasing magnets from Harbor Freight may be easier than sourcing 8mm x 3mm magnets. To compensate for the smaller size of the magnets I also altered the design to accept four magnets per tray. The Harbor Freight rare earth magnets come 10 to a pack, so one pack will handle two trays.

When slicing, add a pause just before the holes for the magnets are covered. When the print pauses insert the magnets and then resume the print.

The original model uses three 8 x 3mm magnets per tray. This remix uses four Harbor Freight rare earth magnets, which are 5/16" x 5/64" (approx. 8 x 2mm) per tray.
