In clinical simulations, it’s crucial to provide students with the right tools to develop their technical and decision-making skills. However, access to authentic medical devices can sometimes be limited due to availability or cost. To bridge this gap, I have been creating 3D models of various medical devices and medications that can be used in clinical simulations or simply printed for fun.

This 3D model of a colorimetric CO₂ detector is the latest addition to this collection. Designed specifically for simulation and training, it helps trainees practice and understand the detection of exhaled carbon dioxide during airway management. By simulating real-world conditions, this model promotes confidence in recognizing proper airway placement and monitoring ventilation during emergencies.

This project is particularly special to me because an amazing person who helped develop the real device inspired its creation. Publishing this model is not only about enhancing simulation accessibility but also about preserving a memory of their incredible contributions to medical technology.

PLEASE NOTE: This model is a simulated training tool and not real medical equipment. It is designed solely for educational and clinical simulation purposes.
