This is a simple model for making end loops in 28AWG (and similar small sizes -- may need to scale for larger or smaller wires) wire antennas for strain relief when deploying thin portable wire antennas such as you might for POTA / SOTA or other portable operations.
During my last POTA Support Your Parks Weekend activation in Winter 2025, I had a failure of my antenna wire at the point where I had tied a knot to make a strain relief loop for wire attachment to my balun. This model is a test to see if I can create a loop that reduces risk of the antenna wire breaking by reducing tight the bend radius of a simple knot.
I printed these with no supports, and no brim and they seem to have come out ok. Some clearing of the holes with a tweezer tip, or small drill bit may be necessary.
