Inland spool drawer

I have some empty Inland spools laying around and I thought I had seen someone make containers that used spool holders but I couldn't remember where. Since I like to design simple things I decided I'd just design my own to go with these particular spools. 

You can put 4 on a spool. Just mirror two of them. 

I print the pins with a brim as hinge pins. I leave the brim on them and glue them in place. The brim holds them while the glue dries. I guess you could glue the pins and the brim to the spool. Took me a while to get a decent handle without it sticking out too far. Alternately you can push on the short end by the hinge and it will swing out as well.

This is a good model to use up small pieces of filament.
