This is a test box for combat robotics.  Box is made from US sized lumber (24"x24" - ¾" plywood bottom, 1x12 pine sides).  Clear top is 24"x24" - ¼" polycarbonate, and is held on using printed slide clips.  Box also includes a printed handle (could also just buy a steel one from the hardware store), and printed feet which allow you to store it flat or on its side easily.  The feet aren't necessarily required, but it helped the box sit flat on a floor, and looks nice.  I do not have a locking mechanism for the top, but I found it stays in place pretty securely due to the friction from the clips

Instructions:

-Glue and screw sides and bottoms into box shape (duh)

-Screw the “Test Box Clip” to the sides of the box at the top, with enough clearance to allow the polycarbonate to slide easily.  I used 2 per side, adjust accordingly based on box size.

-Screw feet to bottom (4x), and to side opposite of preferred handle location (4x)

-Using (2) “Ramp” parts on the inside of the box to help the polycarbonate to slide into place near the clips used on the closed end.  I found that without the ramps, the polycarbonate catches on the wood sides and is a pain to close

I just used standard #10 coarse sheet metal screws (¾" length) for everything.  Feel free to use whatever screw you'd like

Please note that this box has only been tested with 1lb robots.  Please be safe and ensure your box construction is adequate for the box you are testing.  I take no responsibility for any accidents that may occur using this design, the responsibility is on you to be safe.

As for printing settings, I would print these as solid as you can, with the layer lines oriented outside the impact plane (AKA print the clips on their sides). I used PLA, but really any filament is suitable (other than PETG, that stuff is just awful).

Feel free to edit the files for your needs.  I did not upload STL's (just STEP), but can if needed
