Nintendo Switch Joycon Grip -Leaf Pattern

These switch grips are made for the OG and OLED types.  I do not believe they will fit the switch lite. 

Each grip prints in two parts. 

You need 4x M3x10mm screws or epoxy glue to attach them together. 

You could use both.  


Don't over tighten screws or it will strip the plastic.  If that happens, add a little super glue and screw it in, should help.  Or use a M4 with a pointy end. 

The housing file must be printed as it is oriented in the print stl file.  Otherwise the part that clips to the top will be weak and break. 

You will need to add support to the housing part.  I suggest using tree for easy removal.

I also highly suggest sanding the underside of the grip housing that makes contact with supports as it will be very rough.  If you don't have sand paper, a nail file will also work.  The roughness could possibly scratch your joycon housing so please give it a quick sanding.  I used 80 grit and it smoothed it out very quickly. 

I suggest printing the housing part in regular PLA or PETG.   Matte and silk are too weak for this part and it may break more easily.

Added a texture to the grip in a leaf print pattern

Separated the part into two pieces for better print quality

Added a ridge to the clip part for easier removal

These grips will still allow the switch to be docked. 
These can also be used as a stand but it tips over very easily so use this feature at your own risk.
