This model is a simple angled bracket, with two pairs of M5 bolt holes, spaced perfectly for mounting the stock TFT display to the printer frame. I also have a home-made extender for the display cable - the stock cable is not long enough to tilt the display up into this position.
This mount does bend a little, so tapping on the screen can cause the display to “wave”. I would not recommend this as a permanent installation.
My purpose is to support a series of YouTube video recordings that I am making, from a seated position, where I had difficulty viewing the screen while also recording “talking-head” scenes.
The author remixed this model.
I took advantage of the work done by richspencer71 who modelled the part of the stock display mount that is bolted to the face of the printer frame. I split that plate from his model, duplicated it, and then attached the two copies to each other, at 110 degrees, using a wedge.
My goal is to be able to mount the stock display in a near-vertical orientation, to make it easy to view the display by webcam.
