I was using a handheld lamp to charge my discs before playing on the field. That kind of took away the fun of playing in the dark. Then I saw some small inserts to charge the discs inside the bag. But I couldn’t find any insert that filled the whole bag, so I made one myself.

I bought a 10m cheap UV LED strip from Temu—pretty sure it’s not real UV—but it still does the job! It charges my discs super fast, and my games feel much smoother. Since the LED strip was cheap, I figured it’s better to use two wraps per ring. It might be overkill, but it works.

The base measures 240x120mm, and the rings have a diameter of 221mm.

Print the base standing on a corner to avoid supports inside the connectors. Depending on how brave you are, you can add some extra supports. I’ve added an image from the slicer to show how I set it up.

All the parts are printed with 5% gyroid infill. To complete the design, you’ll need one base and seven rings.

To make sure it lasts a long time, print it in PETG, as it can handle UV light.
