A lighter case that makes your lighter look like a gun.

If you have a lighter that does not fit these dimensions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'd be more than happy to make some adjustments to make this fit more lighters. The more feedback I get, the more options that will be available.

For this print it is VERY IMPORTANT that your lighter fits in correctly. There is little to no room for error with this model. If your lighter does not fit perfectly you run the risk of the lighter staying engaged even after you release the trigger.

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THIS MODEL MAY CAUSE.

There are three different options to choose from *** UPDATE 2/10/2025 *** Added a “Heat Insert” option for each style of lighter. This makes it much easier to assemble and disassemble the lighter case.  *** UPDATE 1/28/2025 *** Added a new “Infill Pattern” Variant for each option. This allows you to select your favorite infill pattern to use on the grip of the gun, vs the boring circles.

Heat Insert Options:

The heat insert options were designed to use Voron style heat inserts. The dimensions of the heat inserts should be as such ➡ https://a.co/d/6lUZRm9
Please follow the instructions below for steps on using the custom infill pattern

To use the infill pattern variant, please follow these simple steps:

Load the .3mf into your slicer. You should get a message similar to this. Make sure you select “Yes”. This will keep everything in its position and separate everything for easy modification.

  • This also allows you to rotate the model. I personally like to rotate the model such that the trigger sits parallel to the X-Axis, the way the cooling is set up on my printer, I have better bridging when things are oriented that way. Your mileage may vary. . *the model will load by default with the trigger parallel to the Y-Axis*

When the file loads you should automatically be placed into the “Objects” processes of your slicer vs “Global”. From this tab, Select the “Infill Pattern Half” component, navigate to the strength tab and change these settings:

  • Wall Loops: 0
  • Top Shell Layer: 0
  • Bottom Shell Layer: 0
  • Adjust the infill to your desired density and pattern type (30% density is preferred to really make the pattern pop)
  • Don't forget to turn on supports “Auto, Default, Snug” or manually paint them on as described in the section below

Option 1: (79mm Bic Lighters MUST PRINT SPACER)

The “Official Bic” option. This is made specifically for official Bic branded electric lighters. You can tell if it is a Bic lighter by the logo branded on the upper portion of the lighter. The official Bic lighters come in a few different lengths and styles. This case fits both 79mm and 82mm Official Bic lighters.

This option has an internal cavity of 82mm. If your Bic lighter measures about 79.2mm like mine did, you will need to print the “Spacer” This will make it so that the lighter sits flush once everything is assembled. If your lighter does not sit flush this model will not work and you run the risk of the trigger getting stuck.

Option 2:

Fits the Official Crocs Lighter. 85mm tall, 27mm wide 13.5mm thick

Option 3:

The  “Generic Slim” option. I went to a few different smoke shops to measure a variation of different lighters to see if there was some kind of average number that most manufactures went with. After a bit of a deep dive, it looks like they all are around 83mm by 11.5mm.

Print Settings:

When looking at the files to download, you will notice there is a .3mf option. These options have supports pre-painted. I would recommend using these support settings when printing yours out.

Required Hardware:

2 x M3x12 bolts (bolt together the back)
1 x M3x8 bolt (bolt together the trigger portion)
1 x M3x6 bolt (bolt together the eyesight portion)

I hope the changes I've made here make it easier for others to print. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Made three different versions that fit a wider range of lighters. Increased the cavity size where the lighter fits into and added a spacer to accommodate more lighter variations.

Added 3 more variations that allow you to add an infill pattern to the grip for easy customization.
