This is the fifth model of my goal to make 3D Printed french cleat mounts for all of my power tools in the garage. This makes use of the the battery compartment to secure the router, battery must be removed prior to using this mount. It uses the same mount as my design for the Kobalt drill + impact. In addition, I have added holes to place router bits, and a slot to mount the guide on the side.

There is a small cut on the point of the french cleat surface for 2 reasons; to make it easier to print, and to stop the mount from sitting incorrectly should dust or debris build up in the french cleat wall.

My french cleat wall consists of ¾" plywood cut at a 45 degree angle, yours may vary. If you need me to modify some measurements to accomodate something different I'm happy to do so, just send me a message.

My Print settings:

  • PETG (any type will work, but I recommend PETG if it's going in your garage)
  • 0.2 layer height (0.4mm nozzle)
  • Supports everywhere (should only need them for the french cleat and the battery compartment arms, not the slot or angled pieces, but your printer may vary)
  • Speeds, temps, brim etc depend on your printer and filament.
