So you have a K1 or K1 Max and you have all the big upgrades, including the Booty Call Jones linear rail, the Skeletor MK7 duct, and now you're trying to install a right-angle (or standard format) Cartographer3D probe. This carto mount should help.
This is a zero Y-offset mount that secures the carto probe to the left side of the Booty carriage, using the shroud screw. The mount has two tabs that slide under the carriage to prevent it from rotating/moving. The tabs are designed to be very snug, with a .1mm tolerance, so ensure your printer and filament are properly calibrated.
The mount comes in two versions:
The first version requires two two M3 Voron heat inserts (5mm wide, 4mm deep) to attach the carto to the feet of the mount. The M3 low profile screws that come with the carto probe should work well in combination with the heat inserts. I've provided a simple jig that you can print and use to hold the mount vertically if you intend to use a heat insert press.
The other version also uses the low profile screws, but instead of heat inserts it's designed to secure the screws with M3 nuts.
Cartographer3D specifies that the probe should be 2.6mm to 3.0mm above the nozzle, and for most people the 2.8mm version of this mount should work well. But there are several options provided here, ranging from 2.5mm to 3.1mm in case you have a non-standard setup. Again, make sure your printer is dialed in, and consider using variable layer height and precise Z height to get the carto height as accurate as possible.
To prevent the carto from interfering with the Skeletor duct, the mount has to move carto outward a bit, so the X offset for this model is -24.664. The mount is designed to clear underneath the gantry XY combiner, so you shouldn't lose any printable bed space, but the offset may reduce your mesh_max X dimension.
I recommend at least 3 walls and 30% infill, and of course a high temp filament like ABS or ASA. Print standing up, and you shouldn't need supports but you may need a brim due to the low footprint if you don't have strong adhesion.
STEP files are provided for both versions! (2.8mm carto height only)
