Revenge of the Jedi Logo

Until December of 1982, Star Wars Episode 6 was titled Revenge of the Jedi. This title was included in a teaser trailer and an early movie poster as well as pre-release promotions at the time. Ultimately, George Lucas decided that Jedi would never seek “revenge” and changed the title to what we all now know as Return of the Jedi.
