This is a model I have designed as a replacement fan for an old WEG electric motor used in a screw compressor that was not available for purchase anymore.

Shaft diameter is 23 mm
Spherical diameter is 135 mm
Diameter including fins is 175 mm

Recomended material for printing is ASA (which is might be hard to handle) which is suggested due to better temperature resitance (PLA was melting). ASA is also better to drill in so if you need to change the diameter you can fill in the hole and drill through later on.

I suggest using a 3mf file since it has modifiers applied for 100% infill on shaft cylinder and first layer tweak.

Other parameters (tested on Anycubic Kobra 2 Max):

  • nozzle temp: 235
  • bed temp: 70
  • cooling: 10% first layer, 0% for the rest
  • layer height: 0,2 mm
  • line width: 0,4 mm
  • wall loops: 4
  • speed: 40 mm/s for ASA (variable line height in adaptive mode suggested)
  • support: enabled, threshold angle: 15, on build plate only, firs layer expansion: 2,5
  • brim: mouse ear, gap 0,05

If you need any help or other dimensions please feel free to reach me.

P.S. This is my first 3d model shared, any feedback is welcome <3
