My solution to the plastic spool waste once you have a filament addiction. I only use refills but I don't have any BambuLab spools or Masterspools laying around. This is a spool that allows you to easily load and unload filaments from the spool.
Prints without supports. With default slicer settings, one spool only takes 110 grams of PLA to print. And because you can use cable ties to unload and reload you only need a couple of spools!
You can use any variation of the hub files and same for the spool sides.
You can use ABS, PETG and PLA. Mine are printed in PLA and still fine after 1 year of use.
Add the nuts into the nut traps or set the threaded inserts. If the nuts fall out of the nut traps, use super glue to keep them in place.
Screw a hub to a spool side. Repeat 2 more times for the other hubs. Add the filament on to the refill spool. Screw on the last spool side.
