Weta Workshop Dwalin Axes Custom Wall Mount

This is a custom wall mount for the Weta Workshop 1:1 prop replica's of Dwalin's Axes from The Hobbit.

The mount that comes with the axes is rather large and heavy and forces you to display both axes together in an X like orientation that ends up taking a lot of wall space. I designed these mounts so each axe can be separate and hang vertically which can give you some wall space back and allow for some other arranging options.

The design is based on the tattoo's on top of his head :D

You will need to print the following:

“Mount Ready” x2 (Print 100% scale) 
“Top Ramps” x2 (Print 100% scale) 
“Bottom Align” x4 (Print 100% scale) 

I used some JB Plastic weld to adhere the “Top Ramps” and “Bottom Align” to the mount. I also used some gold rub n buff to fill the design part but I'm sure any type of gold paint would look nice. I also put some felt on the mount and on the ramps so the axe doesn't rest directly on paint.
