Spent way to many revisions trying to get the right profile for a 1936 Nash rear bumper escutcheon/grommet and resorted to creating this tool.
Cars from the 1920s through 1940s that used these that are not popular/common/expensive enough will be missing these parts or they will be severely degraded.
This can be used to create new ones with a proper profile.
You will still need to be CAD capable to create the design. This gives you the needed dimensions. Mine came out pretty good but I expect that someone with professional CAD experience would do even better.
Paying for professional design time would be prohibitively expensive for most owners. Rubber parts manufacturers won't create them without a mandate.
The holes are not quite big enough so I had to drill them out with a .2mm drill. Use 1.75mm filament as the pins.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
