Easy peasy:

  • Insert an M4 (or smaller) wood screw into the hole in the printed insert.
  • Screw the insert onto the piece where you want the knob to go.
  • Finally, screw the knob over the insert for a secure and tidy finish.

Check the side cut image.

Tips:   Print knob on its head.  Test the screw first to figure out which side goes in easy (the top in original direction) (I added a 0.1mm tolerance on both the srew and the knob for easier. If really hard, you still van try wax of grease - you will use this only once…). The hole in this plastic screw is not to be very tight - is just to let the wood screw go through).

0.2 ( bigger will mess the thread)

4 walls, 20% infill

The hole thing printed in 17 min for me on “normal speed” (bambuX1C)

I'm adding fusion 360 files if you want to play with it.

:)

Edit: I added a couple of variations for the knob for more diversity!
