These parts were made to be a lighter and more robust alternative to a tape I've used before. Designed for 21700 Li-Ion batteries (INR21700-M50T in my case) in 4S2P configuration to achieve 1h+ powered flight time for my Volantex Phoenix 2400.
I've included a dovetail version of the cell connector as an alternative to Velcro straps.
For strength, you can use 4x 3mm carbon rods or m3 threaded rods to hold everything together. This should also prevent the batteries from getting dented in the event of a nose dive into the ground (don't ask me how I know that).
All cells are separated by an air gap for better insulation and cooling, with plenty of room for wiring at each end. The hole in one of the end caps is sized for 13 AWG wire. The power lead connects in the middle of the pack, two mirrored halves are assembled independently and then bent straight with the divider in between. The connector then slides on and is secured with 4x filament pieces.
Print in non-conductive filament (including CF and graphene) such as ASA, PETG or TPU.
As always, .STEP and .f3d files are available for modifications.
Also, check out my other parts for Volantex Phoenix glider. Fly safe and happy printing!
