These files can be used to magnetically carry your 16g CO2 cartridge and your Bontrager Air Rush Elite (or similarly sized low profile inline inflator) inside your RockShox Recon steer tube. Other forks with a 1.5" taper might work, but I can only vouch for the Recon. If you've got a bore gauge, then check for a 23mm diameter above the taper.
⚠⚠⚠ Please note that hard landings can cause the CO2 cartridge and inflator to pop out, though wrapping the CO2 cartridge in tape to snug it up against the inside of the steer tube helps out. ⚠⚠⚠
Follow the notes on the model files themselves, note that the ones with “Bontrager” in the name are only for the Bontrager Air Rush Elite inflator. The compression_plug_installation_tool is sized for installing the Bontrager inflator at the right height so that the handle just barely pokes out, but you may need to slice more off the bottom if you're running a shorter inflator.
Refer to the images to get an idea of how things are laid out.
Drill out the two holes on the bottom of the compression_plug_bottom_cone print, there's some extra relief in there for the 10mm screws to use when everything's fully tightened.
Arrange the six compression_plug_side_clamp prints in a circle with the ridges out, and then put the o-rings on and slotted into the grooves.
Put the 25mm machine screw through the flat side of the compression_plug_bottom_cone print, place the side clamps above that, and then finally put the compression_plug_top_cone print on top, finishing with an M3 square nut in the cavity.
Add the final two M3 square nuts into the cavities on either side of the bottom print, pushing them in all the way.
Install by inserting the compression plug assembly with the screw head on the bottom to the correct height (using the compression_plug_installation_tool if necessary), and tighten the screw until it grips the inside of the steer tube tightly.
Add the magnets into the co2_cartridge_mount (you can use a spare CO2 cartridge to find the orientation where everything plays nice), and glue them in place.
Once the glue has dried, insert the 10mm machine screws into the holes from above (the screw heads should be inside the part, with the threaded section poking through the bottom).
Install by pushing the part up into the steer tube, and aligning the 10mm screws with the holes in the bottom of the compression plug assembly. Once they're lined up, screw together tightly.
Glue the bontrager_co2_inflator_holder print and the bontrager_co2_inflator_handle print together.
Once the glue has dried, clip the Bontrager inflator in place, and then screw the holder onto the CO2 cartridge.
Install by inserting into the steer tube until the magnets take over! Alternatively, just partially screw your other inflator onto the CO2 cartridge and pop it into the steer tube.
