Motorized Camera Rail

Remix of CNC Kitchen's model for motorizing the following macro rail:

The original project is perfectly functional, but I wanted to use a Nema 17 stepper instead of a Nema 14. In the process I also added a mounting bracket for the OpenMacroRail's PCB, multiple zip-tie points for wires and redesigned the gears with inset screws.

Required hardware:

• Nema 17 stepper motor (link).
• Macro rail (link).
• OpenMacroRail board.
• 2 x M3x6, 4 x M3x10, 1 x M3x12 mm hex screws.
• 3 x M3xD4.6xL3.0 threaded inserts (link). 

An optional adapter for Micro 4/3 cameras is also included. 

• Nema 17 instead of Nema 14.
• Mounting bracket for PCB.
• Multiple zip-tie points.
• Gears with inset screws.
• Optional riser for M43 cameras.
