Cold Shoe Tube & Desk Mount

Looking to improve my computer desk microphone setup, I purchased the versatile Movo X1-Mini shotgun microphone. It’s primarily designed for use with your smartphone or DSLR camera, but it can also be used with your computer. The challenge was figuring out a mount solution for both my Ergotron monitor arm and general desktop, depending on what was happening.

The Movo X1-Mini Shotgun Microphone comes with a Rycote shock mount that can be attached via a 20mm cold shoe adapter mount. I designed a holder so that it could be 3D printed without issue. To fit the Ergotron grommet size is 20mm, a tube was added, split, and keyed to ease printing. A desktop base plate was designed around those components to quickly change setups.
