Aqara Door & Window Sensor Trim Shim

This model is for the Aqara Door & Window Sensor (affiliate link), and helps you level the two pieces inline with any door or window trim.

My door has a ½ inch trim that frames it, and makes it not possible to keep the two pieces of the sensor flush making them not work well.

I needed a model that would raise the sensor inline with the trim so that both mate up well.

If your trim is different then ½ inch, update the model with the .f3d file included. All you need to do is update the parameter SH to your height in mm.

In Fusion 360 → Open Model → “Modify” Drop Down → “Change Parameters” → Update “SH” to Desired Height → Click “OK”

Printer settings:

• .2mm height
• .4 Nozzle
• 10% infill
• PLA

I ultimately set this up so when I enter the utility room, the light will turn on (see .gif), and I get a push alert to my phone if the door stays open for more than a few seconds. Cats are not allowed in that room!!
