Tool Trays for Prusa XL - Right & Left Side w/ Honeycomb & PRUSA XL logo

Here's a great use for that 1KG spool of Galaxy Black Prusament PLA that likely came included with your Prusa XL… Left and Right side trays (available with and without the Prusa Logo) Print the flush PRUSA XL logo text in orange and white to match the other branding on the printer for the ultimate OEM look.

These side trays are a redesign of my previously posted, very popular tray design for earlier model Prusa printers, however, the dimensions have been reworked specifically for the Prusa XL.   The depth and height of the tray will not interfere with a forward mounted, lower filament spool.  

Here's some Highlights:

•  Efficient - Honeycomb design saves filament and is aesthetically pleasing.
•  Versatile - Arrange your tools and nozzles in the tray however you like, no annoying, preset, locked-in features forcing you into a static tool layout… Just toss your stuff in the tray.
• Simple - Prints with no supports, and no extra hardware necessary for installation
• Quiet - Mounting the trade to the lower aluminum extrusions helps to eliminate vibration during printing due to the lowest center of gravity. Also, the tray securely floats a few millimeters off of the workbench surface eliminating any chatter.
• Secure - Tray top is flush with the aluminum extrusion, and the mounting clips are in the precise position to ensure the  tray cannot slide forward or backward once clipped in.

Installation:

• Holding the front extrusion, gently lift/tilt the XL printer a few centimeters.  Tilt the tray upwards, away from the side extrusion, approximately 35°, push the integrated mounting clips into the side extrusion pushing upwards and towards the aluminum extrusion channel at approximately 35°.  Done!
