This opening includes a narrow slot for fitting an optical filter in front of the fiber or photodetector. Additionally, the upper section includes two new supports for mounting high-power LEDs, which provide extra illumination for the vial. This design increases the versatility and functionality of the Pioreactor system for advanced optical experiments.
