Use of PPE including: Saftey glasses or face shield is required and hearing protection.
Hazards with operation (read carefully)
- This machine does not know the diference between meat and plastic
- The builder is responsible for constructing this printer out of appropiate materials.
- Forces acting on the belts will exceede 30 kg, behave accordingly
- User is responsible for maintaining the machines stability (bolted to immovable object)
Startup Checklist
- Is printer secured to immovable object?
- Inspect for cracks and stress marks
- check belts for fraying or damage
- check belt tension
- ensure the frame is square and true
- check bolts and screws, they must be tight
- Inspect electronics for visible damage (physical and thermal)
- Power on the machine
- quiry endstops (x y and z)
- walk 5 steps back from printer
- home the printer
- verify successful homing
- Inspect area for cats or other pets (remove all pets and animals from area)
- Preheat the printer
- Prepare printing job
- upload printing job to printer
- walk 5 steps away from printer
- you should be wearing PPE by now
- stay away from the printer while benchy is printing
