I got the idea of carrying around 3x5 cards from an interview with Sam Altman where he discussed how great it is to have pocketable notes that you can write flat on a table, remove from the stack and keep or throw away. I've found various 3x5 holders on Amazon, but I wanted to mess with the size of this (there is a version that can hold 30+ cards and another that holds 20), as well as adding stainless steel backing plates to this to give it some heft so when it's flat on the table- its easy to write on.

If you want to make the pocket version of this, I would suggest getting a stainless steel sheet from Amazon (this one is $6 and you can cut it cleanly with a Tin Snips) and then cutting two notecard sized sheets (I would cut it 2mm wider on each side) as this will give the case some heft, will ensure the notecard fits in snugly, and you can use the TPU strap with magnets to ensure the card does not move (as well as ensure the cards in back do not fall out even if the case is upside down). You don't need the stainless steel sheets though- you can use 3-4 notecards instead and it will do the same thing (but obviously will have less weight and will not be magnetic).

I also created a fridge version of this. It needs 4 Neodymium bar magnets that are 60x10x3.  If you are printing the TPU strap for the Pocket Case models, it needs 2 of these same magnets. I listed the pen here as the Pilot G-2 07 pen that they sell for cheap at Target, but I assume many pens are around this size.

I printed these with PLA and did not use any supports. I found that the top bezel (which is an unsupported overhang) will bridge very slightly, but I never had a problem in the 5+ prints I have done on these. If you print the TPU part, I would not suggest supports (unless you are smarter than me and know how to use TPU supports).

I included the step files for this. If you want the original Fusion file, let me know. I would love to see any makes of this as well as any remixes of it. I imagine people may want the back pocket deeper to hold more notecards or people may want to change how the back strap works.

Oh one more thing- I made an update to the Fridge model since taking pictures of it. The back pocket is raised up 5mm so the additional notecards now sit a little above the case for ease of taking them out. I also moved the bevels in a bit to ensure the notecard can be secured better.
